One day, I received an email from Miriam, who wanted to record a few tracks, some originals and some covers, and needed backing musicians for the project.
The choice of musicians was easy, though I didn’t expect the chemistry to be so good. There are always some fears when working with new people, and I was delighted that it went so well.
The project is still far from finished and will probably be mixed elsewhere, but in those four days, she managed to record more than we’d hoped for, thanks to these wonderful, experienced musicians.
In the middle of the project, we had a short call from Clare FM, so I did a quick temporary mix for them.
Here is a short excerpt from that mix. Miriam is a super versatile musician, and this represents only one of her styles (though I have to admit that this is my favourite song).
